Taraba Government suspends 7 Principals over alleged sabotage of free education policy




The Taraba State Government has suspended seven school principals for allegedly sabotaging Governor Kefas’ free education policy.

Their offences range from collecting WAEC and NECO payments to requiring students to pay for examination numbers prior to appearing for examinations.

This comes after a series of investigations, and in some cases, they were caught in the act.

Though the identities of the impacted principals have not been released, the institutions they lead include Government Day Secondary School Kofai in Ardo-Kola Local Government Area; Salihu Dogo Secondary School in Jalingo; and Government Day Secondary School Kununi in Lau, LGA.

Others include Government Day Secondary School Jouro Yinu in Ardo-Kola, Government Day Secondary School Kakulu in Zing, Government Science School Takum, and Government Day Secondary School Yakassai in Wukari.

An investigation is currently underway to identify other principals accused of sabotaging government efforts.
