The management of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) in Ijagun has decided that the suspended 2nd Semester Examination be resumed on Tuesday, July 9th.
Mr Dapo Oke, the University Registrar, signed a statement containing this information.
According to Sundiata Post, the second-semester examinations were suspended following the murder of a final-year student, Ahmed Fabiyi, by suspected cultists on the university grounds.
According to Oke, the rescheduled dates for the continuation of the 4th, 5th, and 8th July 2024 examinations, which were previously delayed for security reasons, would be announced by the University’s body during the week.
While informing that appropriate security measures have been implemented to ensure the maximum security of lives and property and to prevent a recurrence of the violation of peace and campus security, he thanked all stakeholders on behalf of the University for their commitment and understanding during the unfortunate and unforeseen incident.
