Trent University Scholarships are offered to overseas students who demonstrate outstanding academic success, community service, leadership potential, and financial need.
Trent University provides a variety of scholarship possibilities for undergraduate students beginning in January (Winter), May (Summer), and September (Fall) 2025.
These scholarships recognise academic excellence, leadership, community service, and financial need, allowing high-achieving students to succeed at Trent.
Benefits of Trent University Scholarship Program
Trent University is offering multiple scholarships for undergraduate students. Detail of each scholarship is given below:
- Trent international Global Citizens Scholarships and Awards: Amounts between $2,000 – $25,000
- Trent International Tuition Levy Scholarship: Amount of $25,000
- United World Colleges (UWC) Scholarship: Amount of $25,000
- Justin Chiu International Scholarship: Amounts between $3,000 – $15,000
Requirements for Trent University Scholarship Program
- You must be an international student paying international fees.
- You will be studying in Canada on a study permit.
- You must have applied to an undergraduate degree program at Trent University for the Winter 2025, Summer 2025 or Fall 2025 intake. Post graduate certificate and Master/PhD students are not eligible.
- You must meet Trent University’s Admission requirements, including general and degree-specific requirements and the English Language Proficiency Requirements. (Please note that students do not need an admission offer to apply for the scholarships and awards).
- You have a final high school average of 80% or more (Canadian Equivalent).
- You must submit a complete application through your myTrent portal before the “Apply Before Date” for each cohort.
- You will need to fulfill the conditions of your conditional offer letter and register for courses to receive the scholarship amount.

- Information about applicant
- Financial resources and estimated costs
- Personal statement (500 words max)
- List of community service and/or extra-curricular activities (3 activities)
- Critical reflection of community service and/or extra-curricular involvement (500 words max)
- Essay on a topic that you are passionate about (500 words max)
- 2 letters of recommendation
