UDUS to hold matriculation ceremony, April 9

Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto (UDUS) has revealed that its 2024/2025 Matriculation Ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, 9 April 2025, at the institution’s Convocation Square located on the Main Campus.

A statement issued by the university’s Directorate of Information and Public Relations highlighted that the Ceremonies Committee is actively working to ensure the event is both successful and vibrant.

The university, which offers a total of 82 academic programmes across 18 schools, colleges, and faculties, expects all newly admitted undergraduate students (UG1, UG11) and postgraduate students to attend the matriculation ceremony.

During the event, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Bashir Garba, along with the Dean of Students’ Affairs, scholars, and representatives from the Students’ Union, will deliver addresses to the students.

Following this ceremony, newly admitted students will participate in an orientation programme at the university’s permanent site. The programme will feature notable academics and professionals who will provide guidance on university rules, regulations, and operational procedures. The orientation aims to help students integrate seamlessly into academic life and achieve success in their studies.

On behalf of the university Senate, Professor Garba extended a warm invitation to staff members, students, and the general public to attend this important occasion.
