UK University Announces International Undergraduate Scholarships for 2025, Offering Up to £18,000 in Financial Aid

The University of Kent, based in the UK, has announced the availability of its International Undergraduate Scholarships for the 2025 academic year, offering eligible students financial aid of up to £18,000.

The aim of the scholarship is to assist students who wish to pursue their studies in the UK.

According to the university, successful candidates will receive financial support of up to £6,000 per year, for a maximum period of three years, resulting in a total of £18,000.

This funding will be renewable on an annual basis throughout the undergraduate program, provided that recipients meet the required academic standards.

Eligibility requirements for the scholarship

Applicants must fulfill the following academic and procedural requirements to be eligible for the scholarship:

  • Hold at least AAA at A-level or an equivalent qualification obtained outside the UK.
  • Have submitted an official application for a full-time undergraduate program at the University of Kent for the September 2025 entry.
  • Have received a formal offer, which could either be “conditional” or “unconditional,” for their selected course of study.

This means candidates must have been formally admitted to their chosen undergraduate program at the University of Kent.

Open to overseas fee-paying students only

The scholarship is only available to students classified as overseas fee payers.

The following categories of students are not eligible for the scholarship:

  • Students applying for distance learning programs.
  • Students applying for foundation year programs.
  • Students applying for KMMS programs.

Application process and deadline

The deadline to apply for the University of Kent’s International Undergraduate Scholarship is March 28, 2025.

The steps to apply are as follows:

  1. Log in to your applicant portal.
  2. Go to the “Applications” tab.
  3. Select the application you have already submitted.
  4. Click the “Funding” button.
  5. A list of scholarships that are available will appear.
  6. You can apply for the International Scholarship only after you have received an offer.
  7. Click “Apply” and follow the instructions to submit your application.

The final selection panel for the scholarship will convene during the week commencing April 28, 2025.

Applicants will be informed of the selection outcome shortly after the panel meets.

If a student is granted the scholarship, they must accept the offer within 2 weeks of receiving the notification.

As indicated, the University of Kent reserves the right to withhold the scholarship if the selection panel determines that no suitably qualified candidates are found.

The International Scholarship is governed by the full Scholarship Terms and Conditions established by the University of Kent, which will be provided to successful applicants upon being awarded the scholarship.

Students who meet the eligibility criteria are encouraged to submit their applications before the specified deadline.
