UNIBEN Lecturer dies After a brief Illness
A lecturer at the University of Benin (UNIBEN), Professor Alexander Ochuko Emoghene, has died after a brief illness on Saturday morning. This was disclosed by a close friend of the professor, who asked to be kept anonymous.
Until his death, Emoghene was a professor in the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Life Sciences.
He was also a two-time Head of the Department of Microbiology, in the same faculty.
He was meant to deliver a lecture at the UNIBEN regular inaugural lecture series in April but was postponed owing to the coronavirus pandemic.
He was yet to deliver same [lecture] until his demise.
