UNILAG begins 2025/2026 Post-UTME screening for prospective undergraduates

The University of Lagos has declared the start of online registration for its Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (Post-UTME) screening for the 2025/2026 academic session.
This screening exercise, which is open to all undergraduate courses, will take place from Monday, 28 July, to Wednesday, 20 August 2025.
Students who chose the university as their first choice in the 2025 UTME and scored at least 200 are qualified to apply. They must also have five credit passes in relevant O-level subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in a single sitting.
Only those who upload their O-level results no later than 12 September 2025 will be considered. Candidates who are not yet 16 years old by 30 September 2025 are not eligible. The university also made it clear that anyone who fails to take part in the online aptitude test will not be offered admission.
All applicants are expected to register using a personal and active email address, which will be the main channel for official communication during the process.
Previous students who were withdrawn due to poor academic performance or long-term absence may apply again, but only for programmes that differ from the ones they had previously enrolled in. On the other hand, students who were expelled from the institution remain ineligible for re-entry.
Applicants must pay a combined administrative and application fee of ₦5,500 – with ₦2,000 for the application form and ₦3,500 for administrative processing. Payment should be made through any commercial bank or online, after which candidates can access and fill in the screening form on the University’s website.
Trial examinations will take place online from 25 to 27 August 2025 to prepare candidates for the official Post-UTME test, which will be conducted from 1 to 5 September 2025.
Any questions or issues regarding the screening procedure should be directed to the official email address postutme@unilag.edu.ng or through the phone lines 09053006772 and 08141656802.
The University, in a firm reminder, reiterated its strict stance on drug use, warning that any candidate who tests positive for drug consumption—either before or after registration—will have their admission offer revoked.
The notice was issued by Mrs V. Abosede Wickliffe, who serves as the Registrar and Secretary to Council.
