UNILORIN expels student for allegedly demanding ransom on missing colleague




The University of Ilorin in Kwara State has expelled Olanrewaju AbdulKadir, a 100-level student, for reportedly demanding a ransom from the parent of his missing colleague.

The expulsion of AbdulKadir was verified in the university’s weekly bulletin, signed by Kunle Akogun, Director of Corporate Affairs.

AbdulKadir, the expelled student with matriculation number 22/52HL004, is a first-year student in the Department of Information Technology, Faculty of Communication and Information Sciences at the institution.

Segun Micheal Oyewole, a 400-level student, has also been rusticated by the institution for beating a female student.

Oyewole, who was rusticated for one academic session is from the Department of Counselling Education in the Faculty of Education of the University of Ilorin.
