The Vice-Chancellor of the University of llorin, Prot. Suleman Age Abaulkareem, has said that the virtual learning system that commenced in the UniversSiyty on January 11, 2021 has so far recorded over 90 percent success rate in content delivery and class attendance by Students.
Prof. Abdulkareem stated this in a welcome address he delivered virtually to the students last Monday January 25, 2021) as they begin phased resumption for the completion of the COVID-induced suspended 2019/2020 academic session.
The Vice-Chancellor said, to make virtual learning seamless, the University has increased its bandwidth subscription from the present 620 Mbps to over 12 Gbps for the institution’s Main Campus and additional 620Mbps for the mini campus, adding that the University has also expanded network access to over 70% of the University main campus and the College of Health Sciences.
