Dr Kamar Abdulkadir, a lecturer in the Department of Physical and Health Education (P.H.E) at the University of Maiduguri, was brutally murdered in his office.
Abdulkadir was slain on Sunday when unknown assailants crept into his office and attacked him with a knife and hammer.
According to sources and several colleagues and associates of the deceased lecturer, who mostly posted on social media platforms, “the lecturer was later found dead in a pool of his blood with several injuries inflicted on his bodies by his killers”.
Another source stated, “His hands were peeled off when he attempted to stop the attackers from stabbing him. They also used a hammer to break his brain and spinal cord, instantly killing him.”
It was also revealed that the killers took his vehicle and other items as investigators searched for the culprits.
