The management of Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka has announced the appointment of Mr Samuel Nnaemeka Ufoh as the institution’s new Acting Registrar.
This was made public by the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof Charles Esimone, in a letter released to the media on Monday.
The letter read: “In the absence of the Governing Council of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka and in the exercise of my powers as the Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, I hereby appoint you as Acting Registrar of the University with effect from Monday, 8th April 2024.
“You will remain in that position until a substantive Registrar is appointed except as may be dictated by any emergent exigencies. I hope that your performance in office will justify the confidence inherent in this appointment.”
Ufoh replaced Barr Philomena Okoye whose retirement was on Sunday, April 7, 2024.
Before his appointment, Ufoh was a Deputy Registrar 1 in charge of Personnel Unit of the Registry. He is a pastor of the Foursquare Gospel Church, he hails from Nri in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State.
