UTME Candidates Say Resit Exam Was an Improvement — JAMB

After receiving invitations from JAMB to sit for another round of tests, candidates in Abia State had their rescheduled exams on Friday, while others are slated to take theirs on Saturday.

Chioma Marvelous Nnamdi explained that this latest exam session proceeded without disruptions, and the previous issues involving malfunctioning computers were no longer present.

Chioma stated, “The questions this time were simpler and easier to answer.

“It was better than what we saw during the last examination, and I hope that this time, I will succeed.

“During the last examination, there were complaints about inconsistent and confusing answers, which made many candidates feel lost.

“I thank God and JAMB for considering it necessary to correct the anomalies that occurred during the previous exam, where we were given complicated and unclear answers.”

Another UTME participant, Chinonso Eziekel, also recounted his experience with the resit.

He recalled that during the earlier session, several candidates struggled with incomplete questions, unresponsive computers, and insufficient time to finish the exam.

“But this time, it was easier for candidates. Those assigned faulty computers had them replaced quickly, and the questions were more straightforward compared to the last time,” he said.

Reports gathered from different areas of Abia indicated that many candidates had a smoother experience in the retaken examination.

At the E-test Centre of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture (MOUAU), Umudike, a staff member also spoke about the changes.

He remarked that the earlier problems weren’t caused by the centre but stemmed from JAMB’s end.

He further said that the centre made additional efforts this time to ensure that the computers worked correctly during the entire test period.
