Warri student scores 334 in 2025 UTME despite mass failure


Despite many poor performances, Ebule Oritsemeyiwa Precious, a student from the Federal Government College, Warri, stood out in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) by achieving a score of 334 out of 400.
Ebule Precious, who contributes as a columnist to “MathsGE With MeyiBule” at Fresh Angle International, attained scores of 98 in Mathematics, 98 in Physics, 85 in Chemistry, and 53 in English, giving him a total score of 334.
The mathematics enthusiast, who registered for UTME with Registration Number “202550118536DA,” is a final-year student at the renowned Federal Government College, Warri, and the son of Ebule Anthony Metsese, who is the Co-Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Fresh Angle International.
Previously, Ebule Precious had scored 326 in the UTME mock exam held on 10 April, recording individual scores of 96 in Mathematics, 94 in Physics, 71 in Chemistry, and 65 in English.
Ebule has chosen the Federal University of Petroleum Resources (FUPRE), located in Effurun within Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, as his first-choice institution, where he plans to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
It is worth noting that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) recently announced that 75 per cent of candidates who participated in the recently concluded UTME scored below 200, with less than one per cent earning scores above 300 across the country.
