27,026 applicants fail CBT for temporary teaching jobs in Jigawa




According to the Jigawa State Universal Basic Board, a total of 27,026 applicants for temporary teaching jobs failed the Computer Based Test.

Professor Haruna Musa, the board’s chairman, revealed this to reporters after the exam results were released.

He said out of the 32,653 teachers that have applied for the J-teach programme in the state only 5,624 applicants passed.

Professor Musa added that the commission will also screen the 5,627 successful candidates to select 3000 applicants for the temporary teaching position.

“According to him 3,000 j teachers will be employ to teach in primary and junior secondary schools across the state.”

The chairman also stated that the board will conduct credential verification of the applicants to ensure the authentication of their credentials.
