American Polytechnic of Nigeria Launches N1bn Scholarship Fund for Nigerian Students

Dr. Oludare Akande, the President of the American Polytechnic of Nigeria (APN), has announced the introduction of a N1 billion scholarship fund aimed at supporting students for the 2024/2025 academic session.

Speaking to journalists on Saturday, he revealed that the funds would be distributed through the Dr. Oludare Akande Foundation’s Scholarship Program, with the official opening of the scholarship application portal set for April 14, 2025.

He clarified that qualified students would have the chance to receive scholarships worth up to N200,000 per year to assist with their educational expenses.

Akande further emphasized that the scholarship initiative would focus primarily on students with financial need while also recognizing those with exceptional academic achievements.

He reiterated his dedication to empowering Nigerian students with essential knowledge, skills, and international exposure to help them succeed in today’s global economy.

Akande also highlighted that the collaboration would enable APN students to transition smoothly into a world-class education system while significantly easing their financial obligations.

He urged prospective students and their parents to take advantage of APN’s extensive academic programs and available scholarship opportunities.

“The partnership with Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois,” Dr. Akande said, “serves as a platform for providing Nigerian students with access to internationally recognized qualifications and a competitive edge in the global job market.

“We are committed to equipping Nigerian students with the knowledge, skills, and global exposure necessary to thrive in the modern economy.

“This partnership with Lewis University ensures that APN students can seamlessly transition into a world-class educational system while significantly reducing their financial burden.

“Prospective students and parents are encouraged to explore APN’s wide range of academic programs and scholarship opportunities,” he said.
