UNILORIN Sets Deadline, Introduces Weekly Fine for Unclaimed Certificates
The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) has announced a final deadline for graduates to retrieve their unclaimed certificates.
In a statement signed by M.A. Alfanla on Sunday, the university declared that Friday, 17th January 2025, would be the last date for graduates to collect their certificates without incurring a penalty.
Graduates who fail to meet this deadline will be required to pay a weekly fine of ₦3,000 for each delay.
The statement advised affected graduates to present the necessary documents for a smooth collection process. These include evidence of payment for convocation, the original Statement of Result, and the Student Identification Card, among others.
The statement read: “The University Management has observed that many certificates remain unclaimed by graduates (Undergraduate and Postgraduate) of the University.
“The University Management, therefore, urges all affected graduates to turn up and collect their certificates on or before Friday, 17th January 2025. Thereafter, failure to do so will attract a fine of N3,000.00 per week.
“In view of the foregoing, affected graduates are hereby advised to bring along the necessary documents required for à seamless collection, such as evidence of payment for convocation, the original copy of the Statement of Result, the Student Identification Card, etc.”
