Bystanders where shocked to witness an ape running free on the street yesterday August 15th. The ape was reported to have escaped from the University of Ilorin zoo and made its way to the street in search of freedom. A light drama ensued and eyewitnesses didn’t hesistate to record videos of the animal’s break-out attempt. The management of the institution has however not issued a statement concerning the ape, but videos circulating online suggests the ape came out of the University zoo. No casualties were recorded in the break-out.
