IPPIS; No Pay, No Work, ASUU tells Federal Government. Don Jazzy Reacts!

The Academic Staff of Universities has said that it would maintain its ”no pay, no work” stance on the proposed Integrated Payroll and Personal Information system (IPPIS), if the federal government insist on not paying anyone not registered. Recall that the federal government and ASUU have been on loggerheads over the mandatory migration of lecturers to the IPPIS by October 31.

ASUU leaders from the South-West zoned in a conference said that, the system  was nothing but a scam which has corrupt tendencies.
They also argued that the system was a violation of the university autonomy as enshrined in Section 2AA of the Universities Miscellaneous Provisions (Amendment) Act 2003, and thus lacks constitutional backing.

IPPIS; No Pay, No Work, ASUU tells Federal Government. Don Jazzy Reacts!

Taking to his Twitter handle, Nigerian Executive Music producer Don Jazzy had this to say;

On the ASUU-FG issue, I believe the leadership of the union can have amiable discussions with the FG, to find a common ground for tenable solutions to the proposed payment model. As Parents & Elders, we should be more concerned about Students who would be @ the receiving end here.
