Few days to graduation, a final year student of Federal Polytechnic, Oko, and her boyfriend were found dead in a room off-campus. According to reports, the boyfriend popularly called De Young allegedly paid a visit to his girl friend Chioma over the weekend however, they spent a night in a friend’s house, the friend excused them from the room so they can spend enough time together.
The friend reportedly came back the next day and found his door locked, he knocked and there were no response. He peeped through the window and saw his friend lying lifeless, he raised an alarm, with the assistance of the people around, the door was forcefully opened and they hurriedly convey them to the hospital.
On getting to the hospital, they found out that Chioma had already been dead for at least 6 hours as at the time of the report while Young was still alive but unconscious. Not long enough, he gave up the ghost.
Although, the reason for the death has not been ascertained, however rumour has it that it was as a result of generator fumes, others have accredited it to the use of Tramadol.
