Three female students of Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) Enugu, are currently fighting for their lives following the collapse of the balcony of one of the institution’s female hostel on March 9. The injured girls are all students of Mass Communication Department.
The incident reportedly happened on Monday morning, March 9th, after one of the victims had gone to meet her friend and course mate so they could attend a morning lecture together. While waiting for the friend who was washing plates at the balcony, another student joined them. They were all having a conversation when the balcony collapsed leaving all three students hospitalized.
One student identified as Amanda was left with a broken neck and waist, while another student Oluchi Obetta was left with a swollen face and disfigured mouth after the incident.
