According to official sources, the 333 kidnapped students of government science secondary school, kankara local government, Katsina state have been rescued today 17 December 2020.
The personal assistant on new media to the president, Bashir Ahmed made the announcement via his Twitter handle.
The news was also confirmed by the Katsina state government.
Recall that the Boko haram insurgents had earlier on today, released a video claiming it had custody of the students.
President Muhammadu Buhari and the Northern Governors’ forum has also reacted to the release of the kidnapped Katsina students by posting via official twitter handle.
