The Osun State Government has directed that all schools (Private and Public) should proceed on Christmas and New year break from Friday, 18th December 2020.
This was contained in a Public Service Announcement signed by the Coordinating Director, Ministry of Education, K. Olaniyan.
According to the statement, the Osun state government took this proactive preventive measure because they place a high premium on the safety of citizens and students.
He further added that resumption date will be communicated as soon as it’s safe to resume in the new year.
The Ministry of Education also wished all stakeholders in the education sector a Merry Christmas and a safe New Year.
