The spokesman of the Rivers State Police Command, SP Omoni has confirmed the abduction of Dr. Jones Ajuwu, a lecturer with the Linguistics and Communications Department of the University of Port Harcourt.
According to reports, the lecturer was abducted at gunpoint on Sunday evening, February 21, in Bori on his way back from an event in Andoni Local Government Area of the state.
The lecturer was reportedly abducted alongside some staff of RSTV, who were later dropped off after being robbed of their phones and other valuables.
The newsmen reported the incident to the Bori Police Station after regaining freedom.
