Prof. Olufemi Adeoluwa, Vice Chancellor of the Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science, and Technology (BOUESTI), Ikere-Ekiti , has promised people that the institution will justify an increase in its monthly subvention via superior academic and scholastic achievement.
He stated that the recent increase in subvention from N175.8 million to N275.8 million would be used effectively and efficiently to raise the university’s profile.
Prof. Adeoluwa spoke in Ikere-Ekiti during a three-day retreat for the institution’s employees on the theme ‘The Imperatives of Governance in a Budding University.’
The VC praised Governor Biodun Oyebanji for increasing the institution’s subvention, saying it had eased BOUESTI’s financial burden in paying salaries and meeting other responsibilities.
He added that Governor Oyebanji’s kind gesture was an indication of his genuine concern for the growth and development of tertiary education and human capital.
