Ex-minister Adelusi-Adeluyi to receive honorary doctorate from EKSU

The Ekiti State University (EKSU) has chosen Prince Julius Adelusi-Adeluyi, a famous chemist and former Minister of Health and Human Resources, to receive an honorary Doctorate of Law (Honoris Causa) during the university’s upcoming convocation event.

According to a letter from Ife Oluwole, EKSU’s Registrar and Secretary to the Governing Council, the event will take place on April 4 in the university’s auditorium.

Oluwole further stated that the honour recognises Adelusi-Adeluyi’s “contribution to the development of the university, Nigeria, and the international community”.

Adelusi-Adeluyi, a pharmacist and lawyer, is the founder and chairman of Juli Pharmacy Plc, the first indigenous firm to be listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange.

Adelusi-Adeluyi is also a philanthropist currently serving as the Chairman of the MTN Foundation.
