On Monday night, two students from the Federal University Wukari in Taraba state were taken by suspected herders in Wukari.
Sule Gani, the institution’s chief security officer, verified the event on Tuesday. He stated that the victims graduated but remained behind to complete some of their courses.
According to him, the event occurred at 11 p.m. on the school grounds.
Gani explained: “They carried him and one lady. They are spillover students. He came out to buy something, and several suspected herdsmen snatched it away.”
Attempts to contact the Taraba police spokesman failed. As of now , he had yet to answer calls on his phone.
