OYSCATECH set to commence degree programmes




Prof. Lateef Sanni, Governing Council Chairman and Executive Director of the Nigerian Stored Products Research Institute (NSPRI), believes that Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora, is a future university.

Prof. Sanni stated this at the 2nd combined convocation event held at the Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology in Igboora.

Prof. Sanni said in his remarks that with the recently promoted Chief Lecturers, OYSCATECH now has a total of 31 Chief Lecturers, indicating that the institution has the potential to transform into a reputable university.

The Governing Council Chairman explained that with the transformation that the institution is experiencing in terms of human and material resources, there is no doubt that Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora will soon become a University.

Prof. Sanni at a brief meeting held with the newly promoted Chief Lecturers, charged them to utilise their new status to advance research at the Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora.

Meanwhile, the Rector, Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora, Prof. Akinola Akinlabi has disclosed that the institution will soon commence degree programmes in collaboration with the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, and Federal University of Agriculture.
