Preparations are on for the investiture of Olowo of Owo Kingdom, Ondo, Chief Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III, as the pioneer chancellor of the Federal University of Technology (FUT) Babura in Jigawa.
This was revealed in a press statement signed by the Secretary of Information and Publicity, Mr Mustafa Ibrahim, and distributed to the media in Dutse, Jigawa State’s capital.
According to the release, the investiture ceremony will take place on Saturday at the university’s permanent site on Kano Road in Babura Town, Babura Local Government Area, Jigawa.
Additionally, the university will have its matriculation ceremony for those candidates who were admitted for the 2023/2024 academic year.
Prior to the investiture, the prospective chancellor will pay a courtesy visit to the Governor of Jigawa, Malam Umar Namadi, at the Government House and the Emir of Dutse on Friday. The investiture ceremony will follow on Saturday.
