A disturbing video has emerged online, showing a female student at Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science, and Technology, Ikere (BOUESTI) in Ekiti State assaulting a colleague with a stick.
The viral video shows the assailant dismissing the victim’s pleads while swinging the stick.
Witnesses described the victim as Ajayi Precious Gloria, and the attacker as a “very popular” Mass Communication student. The incident occurred on Sunday.
Although the reason is unknown, the footage emphasizes the lack of intervention from spectators.
This event resembles past instances of bullying, such as the widely shared video from April involving a student at Lead British International School in Abuja.
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has called for a public inquiry into school bullying following these disturbing events.
