On Thursday, Osun State University (UNIOSUN) management awarded research support grants to eight final-year students.
The grant was based on the school’s dedication to cultivating a strong research culture and prioritising problem-solving innovation.
During the presentation of the cash to the students, Vice Chancellor Clement Adebooye stated, “N500,000 was approved for students whose research projects were found to be outstandingly excellent in conception, execution, and ultimate potentialities for societal impact.”
He explained that the selection process for the first edition of the grant included calls for applications from all final-year students, submission of entries, evaluation of submissions by a high-profile Management Committee, and selection of the best research proposals.
