Mustapha Osama, a 300-level student at Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK), was reportedly murdered in a foiled robbery attempt in Akwanga Local Government Area, Nasarawa State.
According to sources, the event occurred Friday night at 8 p.m. on the Gudi-Akwanga route.
Osama, who was buried in Doma on Saturday morning according to Islamic customs, was believed to have been struck by a bullet fired by the gunmen.
A family source confirmed that the deceased was driving when he was hit by a gunshot.
According to the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, operatives of the Nigeria Police responded swiftly to a distress call and foiled the robbery attempt.
