OAU announces 2024 admission screening dates and UTME registration process




Obafemi Awolowo University has officially announced the registration dates for its 2024 admission screening exercise, which includes both UTME and Direct Entry candidates.

The university stated that prospective students who choose OAU as their first choice and received a UTME score of 200 or more, as well as DE candidates, are eligible.

The enrolment period begins Monday, August 5, 2024, and ends on Sunday, September 1, 2024.

On Monday, K.A. Bakare, Registrar and Secretary to the Council, signed a press release titled “2024 Admission Screening Exercise (For UTME and Direct Entry Candidates).”

“Candidates who made Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife their first choice in the 2024 UTME and scored 200 and above, and those who applied for Direct Entry, are hereby informed that registration for the 2024 Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination screening exercise will commence on Monday, 5th August and end on Sunday, September 1, 2024,” it read.

According to the statement, the screening exercise will be conducted online, and candidates must ensure that they provide accurate information and upload correct credentials to avoid automatic disqualification.

“The screening exercise will be conducted online. Applicants who provide false information or upload incorrect credentials will automatically be disqualified.

“Candidates are required to check their screening schedule on the OAU admissions portal from Tuesday, 3rd September to Saturday, 7th September 2024.

“Candidates will also be required to participate in the POST-UTME Screening on their allotted dates and times from 9th September to 13th September 2024.

“Applicants should note that the PUTME-Screening fee is two thousand naira (N2,000.00) only (excluding portal access charges),” it read.

A step-by-step guide to registering for the admission screening exercise:

Step 1: Visit: https://admissions.oauife.edu.ng

Step 2: Log on to the site with your Registration Number as Username and your Surname as Password (the password is not case-sensitive).

Step 3: Fill out the biodata form and click continue.

Step 4: Obtain an RRR (Remita Retrieval Reference) from this site only, and use it to make payment online or at any commercial bank.

Step 5: Once payment is accepted, the system will log out, and you can log in again.
