UNILORIN expels 2 students, rusticates 3 for misconduct




The University of Ilorin in Kwara State punished five students for alleged misdemeanours on campus.

Two students were expelled from the institution, and three others were suspended for one academic session.

According to a statement issued on Monday by the university’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Kunle Akogun, the Vice-Chancellor approved the students’ rustication and expulsion following the Students’ Disciplinary Committee’s proposal on Friday, July 5, 2024.

The students expelled were from the Department of Human Kinetics and the Department of Education Management.

Those rusticated are from the Department of Communication and Information Science, the Department of Marketing, and the Department of Telecommunication Science.
