De Imperial Philanthropic Family announces the second edition of scholarship program

The De Imperial Philanthropic Family (DIPF), a non-governmental organisation made up of prominent Igbo sons from Nigeria’s five Eastern states, has announced the 2024 DIPF Scholarships Exercise for secondary schools in Southeast.

In a statement, the NGO said: “This initiative aims to eradicate poverty through education and is a collective effort of individual philanthropists coming together to support the education of young individuals in our region.

“This year marks the second edition of the program, following the success of the inaugural edition in 2023, where 250 students from the five states of the Southeast were awarded scholarships.

“The 2024 DIPF Scholarships Exercise will commence on August 3, 2024, and will target over 250 beneficiaries from the region.

“High Chief Dr. Darlington Nwabunike and Chief Chikezie Okonkwo, the Education Committee Chairman, lead the organization and are committed to supporting the selected beneficiaries from Junior Secondary School 1 (JS1) throughout their secondary education.

“Dr. Frank Igbojindu, CEO of Best Brain Contest and the organiser of the scholarship exercise expressed his appreciation to the sponsors for their unwavering commitment to promoting education.

“He pledged his undiluted experience in achieving the desired goals of the program.

“The DIPF Scholarships Examination will follow the online and offline registration of prospective candidates and will take place in the capital cities of the five southeastern states in August and September 2024.

“We invite primary 6 pupils who will be in JS1 by September 2024 to participate in this opportunity to receive financial assistance and support for their education.”
