Ondo disburses N335m bursary to students

Yesterday, the Ondo State Government awarded N335 million in bursaries, scholarships, and financial support to 11,220 students in Akure.

Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa spoke during the event, reiterating his administration’s belief in education as the foundation of progress.

Aiyedatiwa said that his administration has intervened through policies and programs to improve the state’s educational quality.

The governor said the award was not just a financial support to the students, but also a vote of confidence in their abilities to ensure that they got results.

Aiyedatiwa, who applauded parents and guardians of the beneficiaries for their support and efforts in raising their children and wards, also recognised their vital roles in the children’s academic journey.

The governor reeled out some of his administration’s achievements such as regular payments of West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) registration fees for all students in public secondary schools across the state.
