Osun State to begin recruitment of 5,250 teachers September 9

Governor Ademola Adeleke

The Osun State Government, through the Ministry of Education, will conduct interviews for teachers and education officers on September 9.

The interview, approved yesterday by the Executive Council (Exco), presided over by Governor Ademola Adeleke, would recruit 5,250 teachers and education officers.

It will be recalled that Adeleke in February announced recruitment into schools to fill vacancies.

According to Information Commissioner Kolapo Alimi, the Exco directed the interview after receiving updated reports from Commissioner for Education Adedipo Eluwole. Eluwole addressed the Council on the activities leading up to the final stage of the exercise.

He said “The Exco, while emphasising the need for a meritorious outcome, directed the Ministry of Education to issue a detailed official notice on the interview exercise, listing the dates and venues of the interview.”

He stated that the interview will take place between September 9 and 13, at 9 a.m. daily, and that applicants should check their recruitment portal or e-mail for their interview date.
