Unilorin ranks high in global varsity ranking




Out of the 149 universities in Nigeria, the University of Ilorin has been named as the 9th Best Value University for International Students.

This was stated in a new ranking released by the top resource for international student mobility, Study Abroad Aide.

The University Database Lead, Roxanne Naguinlin, shared the remarkable accomplishments and impact of the institution in an email to the university’s Registrar, Mr. Mansur Adeleke Alfanla, from the Study Abroad Aide, the most comprehensive database of universities worldwide, which received 1.6 million visitors in 2022.

Mr. Alfanla said, “The university has once again achieved impressive international recognition for its exceptional value proposition for international students.” He claimed that the rating is further evidence of the institution’s dedication to academic achievement.

The university was also placed in the top 21% of Best Value Universities worldwide, which includes 8,060 establishments in 69 different nations.

”Last November 11, 2023, we published our annual Best Value Rankings for International Students. The Best Value University rankings are our second-ranking category after the Best University rankings. It focuses on the combination of academic prestige and affordability. The rankings assess 8,060 private and public higher educational institutions in 69 countries,” the email stated.

In response to the news, Dr. Ismail Odetokun, the University of Ilorin’s Desk Officer (Ranking), noted that the honours demonstrated the university’s status in the world and its dedication to offering the best possible accessible education.
