LAFIA (Sundiata Scholar) – Member representing Toto/Gadabuke constituency in the Nasarawa House of Assembly, Mr Mohammed Isimbabi, has harped on the need for parents to give adequate attention to the education of their children especially, the girl-child.
Isimbabi stated this during the naming ceremony of his daughter on Saturday in Keffi.
The lawmaker pointed out that the best legacy any parent could bequeath to his children is good education, hence the need for parents to prioritise the education of children, especially the girl-child.
He noted that oftentimes, female children were not given as much attention as the male children, adding that such orientation should change if the society must develop.
Isimbabi appreciated God for the birth of his daughter named Zara, meaning “shining star.”
He prayed God to protect and grant her sound health in order to fulfil her purpose on earth, while assuring of his commitment to her proper upbringing.
Isimbabi, who is Chairman, House Committee on Youth and Sports reassured his constituents quality representation in the house to attract more benefits to the community.
”The people of Toto/ Gadabuke will not regret voting me as I will continue to do my best for them.
“We have started with the construction of 1km road in Shafa Abakpa from the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and more is coming, I will do more for my people, ” he said.
He appreciated all those who attended the naming ceremony and prayed God to bless them abundantly.
The lawmaker further called on the people of his constituency to be law abiding, respect constituted authorities and live peacefully.
Also, the lawmaker’s wife, Mrs Falaq Isimbabi appreciated God for the gift of a new baby and prayed God to grant all those that attended the ceremony journey mercies back home.
Mr Onarigu Kana and Mr Saad Abdullahi, members representing Udege/Loko and Umaisha/ Ugya constituencies also attended the ceremony.
