APC leader purchases WAEC, UTME forms for 600 students in Osun

The free registration forms for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WAEC) have benefited no fewer than 600 students in the Ejigbo local government area of Osun State.

One of the All Progressives Congress’s (APC) leaders, Ayodele Asalu, bought the forms so that the students might further advance education in the state.

Speaking to the beneficiaries, the APC leader stated that all tiers of government must be trusted to provide the necessities for societal advancement.

He clarified that in 20 schools located across the Ejigbo local government areas, 350 students received free WAEC and 250 more received free UTME forms.

He said: “I believe very strongly in citizen participation to achieve development. Government at all levels, cannot be left alone to do all that our society requires to grow, and thus, individuals like myself, who are privileged, must make important personal contributions to the development of people and communities.

“It is important I mention that the current challenges in our dear country also demand that we all rise, join hands, and support the government to drive pro-people policies that will ultimately lead to the development of our country.”

Asalu asked Nigerians to be patient with President Bola Tinubu, pointing out that the administration is implementing a number of reforms meant to resuscitate the country for significant advancement and development.

He emphasised Tinubu’s pressing need to overhaul several industries in order to revitalise the nation and spur real progress.

He did, however, agree that these efforts come with inevitable challenges, which are essential for genuine national development and the creation of equal opportunities for all.
