CIBN launches bankers hall at Kwara State University




The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) has dedicated its newly constructed bankers hall at Kwara State University in Malete, Kwara State, as a legacy project endowed by the Institute to the university.

Ken Opara, the council’s president/chairman, stated that the CIBN bankers’ hall represents CIBN’s commitment to education, excellence, and the banking profession. This state-of-the-art facility, the result of years of meticulous planning, design, and construction, is outfitted with modern amenities to meet the ever-changing needs of banking education.

“Its role as a hub for academic discourse, innovation, and industry engagement underscores its significance in shaping the future of banking education in Nigeria,” he said.

In his address, Opara stressed the importance of collaboration between academia and the banking industry, emphasizing CIBN’s commitment to nurturing a culture of excellence and professionalism within the banking sector.

The opening of the CIBN bankers’ hall marks a significant accomplishment and a renewed commitment to developing banking education and fostering sustainable development in Nigeria. In his response, the Acting Vice Chancellor, Kwara State University Shaykh Luqman Jimoh praised the Institute for the gesture and promised to keep the hall in good order.
